- Centris 660AV
-
- Copyright 1993, Apple Computer, Inc.
-
- With an innovative architecture that delivers new capabilities in
- telecommunications, video, and speech, the Apple Macintosh Centris 660av
- computer helps you work and communicate more effec-tively than ever before.
-
- The Macintosh Centris 660av combines the horsepower of a 25-megahertz 68040
- microprocessor with a 55-megahertz digital signal processor (DSP) to achieve
- outstanding performance. The DSP handles telecommunications, speech, and audio
- functions, allowing the 68040 processor to handle other tasks, thereby
- increasing the total system performance.
-
- The power and built-in features of the Macintosh Centris 660av let you take
- full advantage of exciting new audio-visual technologies. For example, with its
- built-in GeoPort telecommunications architecture, the Macintosh Centris 660av
- can connect with telephone systems, so you can use your computer as a
- tele-phone, an answering machine, a fax machine, and an electronic mail
- station. Its video capabilities let you view or capture video from a VCR, laser
- disc, or camcorder in a window. You can also connect directly to a TV to show
- your presentations or to a VCR to make videotapes.
-
- Using PlainTalk speech technology from Apple, the Macintosh Centris 660av can
- respond to your voice commands. And it generates CD-quality stereo sound, so
- all your audio applications sound great.
-
- In short, the Macintosh Centris 660av can serve as your personal communications
- center. Whether you're in the office or on the go, you can use it to work more
- efficiently and effectively than ever.
